British-Pakistani watercolour artist
Nadia is a British-Pakistani watercolour artist currently based in Edinburgh. Her loose and fluid style is concerned with capturing the passage of time in places that have personal meaning to her. Using natural pigments and a clay surface, she seeks to render the beauty of imperfection and reflect on the influence of heritage.
Nadia is primarily self-taught but has taken classes in Indo- Persian Miniature painting along with sacred geometry. Her work pushes the boundaries of these classical techniques to make contemporary work, which have been exhibited locally and can be found in collections in the UK, Europe and America.
