Leila Aboulela is an award-winning novelist whose work has received critical recognition and a high profile for its distinctive exploration of identity, migration and Islamic spirituality. She is a recipient of the Caine Prize for African Writing, the Scottish Book Awards and the Saltire Fiction Book of the Year Award. Leila’s work has been translated into fifteen languages and she has participated nationwide in literary festivals such as Edinburgh, Hay, Wigtown and Cheltenham; as well as internationally in New York, Lahore, Jaipur, Toronto and Johannesburg.
