Lancashire-born Sufi Nasheed singer and songwriter
Born in Lancashire in the North-West of England, from an early age singer and song-writer Tom Hamza Robertson played and composed songs in a number of bands, before becoming lead singer, keyboard player and guitarist in a band he formed with his friends. His interest in music led him to study Performing Arts & Popular Music.
He says of his early passion for music: “I remember performing on stage as a child in Secondary school and after the performance many people commented to me that I had a great voice and a great talent. It was then that I became inspired to become a musician and an artist”. Hamza converted to Islam in his mid-twenties and now composes and performs his original Nasheeds.
