Rakin Niass

A true veteran of the UK Hip Hop scene and founder of Islamic Hip Hop group Mecca 2 Medina (also performing at the festival), rapper Rakin Niass is now a teacher in Islamic studies, CEO of Crescent Moon Records, and runs youth music workshops.
His solo music is a fascinating mix of old school Hip Hop sounds and elements of both traditional and contemporary Islamic themes and melodies from around the world.
