Nadia is a British-Pakistani painter currently based in Edinburgh. Her loose and fluid style is concerned with capturing the passage of time on places that have personal meaning to her. Using natural pigments and a clay surface, she seeks to render the beauty of imperfection and the reflect on the influence of heritage. Nadia is primarily self taught but has taken classes in Indo- Persian Miniature painting along with sacred geometry. Her work is concerned with taking theses classical techniques and pushing the boundaries to make contemporary work. Her paintings have been exhibited locally and can be found in collections in UK, Europe and America.
